Track & Field is a sport that combines various athletic contests based on skills of running, jumping and throwing. Track & Field events are among the oldest and most popular of all sporting events in the world. The 2016 Rio Summer Olympics are around the corner and many of our athletes are working hard to qualify for this big event and compete at the highest level.

One of our recent signings was professional track and field athlete  Reggie "All American" Dixon. Reggie is an enthusiastic, goal-oriented athlete that works hard towards achieving his goals. We've conducted a short interview with Reggie who was willing to share some interesting tidbits about himself.

How did you get started with Track & Field?

It all started back in elementary school. In the spring we would race other schools in our district in different events by grades. In 3rd grade I was out running everyone in my grade, so they made me run against the 5th graders and I still came out first and since then it's been history.

What is your biggest accomplishment in your career?

The biggest accomplishment in my career was becoming Sliver Medalist in the 60m 2013 at the USA Indoor Championships and getting invited to the NFL Regional Combine at the Dallas Stadium the same day.

What does your normal day look like?

A normal day with me always consists of training whether is on the track or in the weight room. Being an athlete I feel there should never be any days off, even if a 15 minute run on the weekend is always beneficial.

If you could be anything else besides a pro athlete, what would you be?

I would want to get into NASA. I always follow news about space and our different galaxies. Science has always been my favorite subject.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Floyd Mayweather by far has to be my favorite athlete at the moment.

Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I'm big into collecting shoes - I'm a sneaker head. My favorite shoe right now would be the South Beach LeBron 8.

What kind of music motivates you to perform at a high level?

Right now Future is really getting me to the next level, the type of music he creates and the beats automatically get you focused

What is your favorite food?

Pasta, you can never go wrong with pasta and Red Lobster biscuits

Anything else you'd like to add?

One thing I can say to all athletes is that the weight room is key. Bigger. Faster. Stronger.
