20. Brandon Moss OF Cleveland Indians
19. Christian Colon 2B Kansas City Royals
18. Brooks Brown RP Colorado Rockies
17. Jason Motte RP Chicago Cubs
16. Juan Lagares OF New York Mets
15. Jarrod Dyson OF Kansas City Royals
14. David Peralta OF Arizona Diamondbacks
13. Brandon Guyer OF Tampa Bay Rays
12. Wilson Ramos C Washington Nationals
11. Aaron Harang SP Philadelphia Phillies
10. Randy Choate RP St. Louis Cardinals
9. Brandon Phillips 2B Cincinnati Reds
8. Santiago Casilla RP San Francisco Giants
7. Jon Lester SP Chicago Cubs
6. Joaquin Benoit RP San Diego Padres
5. David DeJesus OF Tampa Bay Rays
Why are the Tampa Bay Rays in first place in their division? Because of players like David DeJesus. Batting .299 with 23 runs batted in, DeJesus is a gritty player that does not do anything great, but seems to do everything well.
4. Jonathan Papelbon RP Philadelphia Phillies
Another closer in my top-5? I know, what am I thinking. But for a last-place Philadelphia Phillies team, Papelbon has been that good. Boasting a miniscule 1.88 ERA with 13 saves, who knows how much worse this Phillies team would be without Papelbon.
3. Josh Reddick OF Oakland Athletics
While he may be somewhat of a defensive liability, Reddick is the heart and soul of the Oakland Athletics meager lineup. Not only is he hitting over .285, but he also has 42 runs batted in to go along with his 10 homers.
2. Jeurys Familia RP New York Mets
Some call him the New York Mets MVP (Gary Cohen). With an ERA of 1.38 and 19 saves, it would be difficult to argue otherwise.
1. Dustin Pedroia 2B Red Sox
The former MVP is having somewhat of a resurgent season, as he boasts a slash line of .307/.367/.403. Don’t look now, but he could be capturing his fifth career All-Star appearance this season.
