Propelify Innovation Festival powered by TechUnited New Jersey will be back from October 5th - October 9th, usually the event takes place in Hoboken, New Jersey, but this year the Propelify conference will be held virtually. This year our CEO Ishveen Anand will be hosting an athlete panel with Olympic gold medalist Abby Dunkin and top Powerlifter Leah Casciano.
Their panel will be on Tuesday October 6th as part of the Better Wellness day. They will be covering topics such as diversity in brand ambassadors, mental health, surviving criticism on social media, goal setting, staying healthy including plant based diets and much more.
Abby a Paralympic basketball gold medalist discusses how she became to be part of the sport, and what she plans to do post retirement. Leah a top social media influencers with over 200K followers on Instagram talks about how sponsorship supplements her sports career so she can afford to be an athlete. Given the Propelify Innovation Festival is in New Jersey, the panel will also discuss how athletes can be involved with newly legalized industries such as CBD and Sports Betting / Sports Gambling.
The panel will also field some questions from Propelify Founder Aaron Price including the role of technology in their lives and what message these athletes want to share with technology leaders to ensure a better tomorrow.
Athletes are increasingly becoming more than just an athlete, standing up for what they believe in, using their voice for their minority fanbase and make a real impact in the world. We are excited to have our CEO interview these two athletes to add to this movement.
